The Trumpeters' ensembles' meeting and The review of folk creativity of Serbia is a
traditional and recognizable manifestation, which has been held 25 times up to now. It takes place on Zlatibor at the end of july and it gathers orchestras, singers' groups and cultural artistic organizations that cherish the original folk creativity and prevent folklore and ethno - culture from being forgotten.
The guests of this manifestation are cultural artistic groups from Serbia and from abroad who perform traditional folk songs and dances.There are many 
other programmes on this manifestation which is one of the best visited on Zlatibor.

      Ar t   c o l o n i e s


     Cultural sports centre also organizes art colonies with the presence of best known academic art painters from Yugoslavia during the summer. The colonies are taking 
place in the picturesque environment of Zlatibor, Šljivovica and Trnava. Paintings painted during the colony as well as art exhibitions of other painters are
being presented to numerous visitors and the inhabitants of Zlatibor.

    ME F E S T

    One of characteristic events on Zlatibor is The international festival of ecologic,touristic and sports film, known as MEFEST. It is held at the end of august.
This year, on the seventh festival,a great number of films from many countries were presented. There are always a lot of eminent guests and reporters from abroad on this festival.




    Th e   "W o l f   c h a s e"


     Each year at the end of february Zlatibor is a host to hunters from the country and from abroad. The famous "Wolf chase" has been held 17 times up to now, and the "Hunters meeting" 9 times. There's no such (bad) weather that could spoil the joy of hunters' gathering on Zlatibor.
The hunters compete in aiming at moving and inflexible targets, at clay pigeons and the lucky man who shoots the real wolf, gets a nice reward.
Besides the lectures about hunting, held by our best experts, the exhibition of hunting weapons in hotel Palisad, there is always a pleasant dinner meeting with 
a roast (barbecue) ox and hunters' beans.       

          Am u s e m e n t   f o r   y o u n g   p e o p l e

      After a long walk or after riding a bicycle, or perhaps a coach driving, after swimming, playing tennis, billiards, or table-
tennis, after horse riding, or skiing in winter time you can enjoy in numerous Zlatibor caffees. 
     The mountain sun makes it possible for you to become suntanned sitting in open -air restaurants and enjoying in a cup of coffe or mountain tea, chatting with friends either in summer or in winter time. In these caffees an active night life is going on too. Besides there are various restaurants where music groups
together with good food and drinks perform a merry and lively atmosphere.
    For those who aren't fond of crowded places there are restaurants with more intimate atmosphere. There are also a couple of good pastry shops for children. In case that someone wants to get rid of his surplus energy or he wants to show up his new dancing steps, there is a discoteque always crowded until dawn.

     In the very centre of Zlatibor there is a small artificial lake which is convinient for bathing in summertime.High pine trees surrounding it perform pleasant shade and freshness in hot summer days.
    On the way towards Semegnjevo, about 7 km away from Zlatibor, there is a bathing place popularly called "Kod komša" (At the neighbour's). The natural course of a stream has been interrupted and enclosed by stones, and the surroundings is 
adapted for rest and recreation of bathers.
    An Olympic open air swimming pool is being under construction in the centre of Zlatibor.
   In the institute "Čigota" there is an indoor swimming pool which is open the whole year round. It is a special experience to bathe there in winter and observe -through the big windows - snow falling to the old white pine trees.

  
     What does Zlatibor offer to the youngest

   First of all, the moments spent in the fresh air and in healthy peaceful natural environment are of invaluable importance for health of each child. Zlatibor is full of places intended for children to play. There are: a popular and unavoidable 
amusement park, the parks with swings and see-saws, a polygon for small drivers to drive electric cars; those, who like westerns and those who like animals can enjoy in horse riding (small and big); there's a small train that makes a circle
tour around Zlatibor, and in summer children can rent small boats with pedals and enjoy in shiping on the lake. 

    Children's festival - Children among the narcissuses -is organized in Čajetina in june. Children from primary schools of Čajetina community take part in it. They are writing literary works during the whole year, and the best creations are
chosen on this final manifestation, and children's creativity from other branches is being prezented in the presence of eminent children's writers and poets. A poet -godfather is beeing elected to be a protector of the children's festival each year. A premiere of a theatre performance performed by the children's drama studio is also characteristic of this festival which has been held seven times up to now.
