In the midle of November 1999 the first rails were laid on the narrow-gaged railway berween Sargan and Mokra Gora, and thus the beginning of restoration works of the popular "Sargan eight" was marked. The "Sargan eight" is meant to be the future pride of tourist offer of Serbia, and a monument of railway construction.

By the reconstruction of the railway station building it has been 
brought back to the shape it had in 1924.

Platforms have been built at the railway station.

Regulation of the Djetinja river bed and construction of the bridge serving as anapproach to the station and the future locomotive repair shop.


Adapting of the railway squad leader's building has made.

The longest tunnel on Beograd - Sarajevo railway, King Aleksander's tunnel (1666,86 m) has been restored.

A track from the railway station Sargan - Vitasi to King Aleksander's tinnel has been laid.

A track has been laid from the railway station Sargan - Vitasi to the station Jatare, where the station building which had been torn down has been built (put back to the condition from the year 1924).
